About Rosalynn
A Canadian trained Nurse at the University of Calgary. Working in the UK since 2009 as a Clinical Research Nurse, registered with the NMC. Currently I'm Clinical Academic Research Fellow. This means I hold two roles: a Specialist Research Nurse at the Queen Alexandra Hospital and completing my PhD in the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Southampton.

As a Clinical Academic I can be the bridge between the academic world and the clinical world. This link means the translation between academic research and clinical application is more effective. It also enhances collaborations between clinical and academic researchers. I am gaining the skills needed to become a catalyst for change through observing patients' experience and exploring the literature to develop research projects that will improve clinical practice.

My PhD project is focused on the concept of Burden of Treatment and how this is experienced by patients with Heart Failure. This blog is my story of my journey through this PhD as well as my thoughts on Burden of Treatment.
